"Some people want to coach Little League -- I've got a rock group with my two boys," drummer Javier Ramos explained in a recent telephone interview. Javier and his adult sons David, who plays guitar and sings, and Gilbert, who plays bass and sings, are putting out their new album "Rock 'N Roll Heaven II: Rock 'N- Roll for Jesus" with a CD release show at Lighthouse Community Church in Perris today. Story continues below The family is also performing Feb. 26 at the 10th Annual Black History Parade in Perris. The band started out originally from a church choir in 2000 and became a band playing weddings and quinceañeras before releasing a secular album, "Unidos," in 2006. "It wasn't really fulfilling spiritually" "God has his timing David Ramos said. The band put out "Rock 'N Roll Heaven" in 2009 and gained notice on MySpace through Tate Music Group. The label brought the band to Oklahoma to record in 2010 and while the band was originally going to re-record and polish the original "Rock 'N Roll Heaven," they ended up recording new songs they had written. Gilbert's wife, Maria, writes a lot of the lyrics. "A lot of inspiration comes from the Bible," Gilbert Ramos said.
